After visiting my new school’s website, I thought it was nice. I saw some of the teachers I might see in middle school next year. I might even see my brother in 7th grade and I hope or would like to be in the basketball program if they have it. You get to have lockers. I think that is pretty cool. I would not like middle school because you have to get up early in the morning like at 6:00.
Going to my new middle school excites me because you get to bring your phone, get lockers, and meet new friends. What does not excite me is how to use the lockers and how nice the teachers are to us students. I also worry what will happen if I get to school late. So I guess that’s it. Bye.
I feel happy about middle school because it looks fun. I will meet new teachers and have new friends. I will see old friends. I’ll meet teachers that are friendly and fun. I want to take after school programs. I hope we have P.E. everyday.
I feel middle school will be exciting because we get lockers, and we can bring a cell phone. Also, we get home earlier. The one thing that concerns me is hard work and other people who talk to me while I am working. Also one more thing that worries me is when the locks are on the lockers and I have to hurry up and take my lock off before the bell rings.
I feel nervous about middle school because we are going to do a lot of homework. After I looked on my school website I saw we have lots of back to school things and we get lockers that we could put our stuff in. We can bring cell phones, but we have to keep it in our lockers and after school we can bring our cell phones out. We can also make new friends.
I feel nervous about middle school because the school will have older kids that I don’t know, and we have new teachers and a new vice principal and assistant principal. We have more classes than now in fifth grade. We have eight classes and here at Pemberton Elementary we have six. At Bennett Middle School, we have lockers and we can bring cell phones, but not in class. Also, if you’re late you will have to go to the office. If you don’t put your name on your homework paper it would be thrown away, and you will get a zero. I think middle school will be stressful because we have to get up at 5:30 in the morning.
I feel that middle school is right for me, because there will be new teachers to meet and new friends. Work will be a challenge for me. I’m excited about math class.
I feel excited about SMS because it is a BIG school. I feel worried about SMS because I might forget where my classes are. I am happy we get out of school sooner but we have to go to school sooner to. We have 8 classes and I am not happy about that.
After I visited my new school’s website photo gallery I saw part of the gym and it was the biggest thing I have seen. I can not wait any longer. I have to go.
I feel happy that Salisbury Middle School has air conditioning. Salisbury Middle School makes me happy when you get hot they have air conditioner. Salisbury Middle School is great. I feel happy because I am going there. I will miss my old teachers at Pemberton Elementary School. I will miss my friends. I will miss every one here. Salisbury Middle School is the best school for me.
I feel nervous about Salisbury middle school but I also feel pretty excited. I feel nervous
About it because it’s a big school and I might get lost, and there are only 4 minutes to get to class. I feel excited about making new friends, and I’ll have new teachers. I’m also excited about P.E. because it will be every other day. I think that I’m going to be fine there.
I feel great about middle school because in elementary school we get out late, but at middle school we get out at 3:30. In middle school you have to change for P.E. You get to bring your ipod and phone. The OR stands for office referral. If you don’t put your name on your paper you will get a 0. I don’t feel so great about getting a 0 if I don’t put my name on my paper.
I think middle school is going to be great because we can learn lots of new things like history and math, but the hard thing in math is algebra. Next year we will have more homework. We will have lockers and 7 classes a day.
After seeing my middle school, I think next will excited me to. The man from Salisbury Middle School came an give us a little information about the school. I will try to keep my grades up to stay in the band .An I will keep my locker clean for the rest of the year.
I think middle school will be neat because you have a locker and you can decorate it. I will have cool teachers and I can learn how to cook, sew, and understand how to pay for anything. We can get on the computers more often and after every class, like math, you
don’t have to carry stuff from math to science. You can just go to your locker
and put the things in your hand in your locker and get the things you need.
I will have challenges. I think a challenge for me will be remembering where my locker
is and remembering my locker numbers. So what I’m saying is, I think middle school
will be neat. I can’t wait to meet all my teachers.
I feel middle school will be scary because it looks like it is big and I might get confused about my classrooms and lockers. I kind of feel good about it because some of my friends are going there. I know that I will do fine because we can put our stuff in our locker.
I think middle school will be a lot different. There will be different teachers. There will be eight different subjects and I am afraid that I will forget my locker number and go to the wrong classes.
I think I am a little afraid to go to middle school because it is very big and anyone could get lost. I also think that it could be a very cool school because it is neater there and it’s very fun meeting new people and new teachers. I think it would be scary and fun at the same time, but I will never know until I get there. There are also a lot of new people, as well as new classes.
I am happy because I am going to middle school and I am going to have new teachers and new friends. I am little afraid that there are going to be some new rules for class. That why I am little afraid. I am happy that I am going to middle school because its going to be fun with new friends and I am going to learn some more new things.
After going to my school’s website, I feel kind of uncomfortable because I think I might get lost or forget my locker combination. Also I feel that way because I might not remember the class I have to during the day. I might feel calm because I might meet new friends everyday.
I feel middle school will make me happier because I’m at a new school, but I’m afraid of being late for class. I need to make peace with new teachers, but I need to learn the school. Also, I need to not forget my gym clothes. I need to remember my lock number too.
After seeing the pictures of my middle school I feel happy and afraid. I feel happy because I am going to see a lot of new things that are not here. Also, I am happy because I will be able to use a locker instead of carrying a book bag around all the time. My last reason why I am happy is because all of my friends that are going to Salisbury Middle School will be there. I am afraid because I will probably get lost when I go to the bathroom. Also, I am afraid because I probably will get picked on by the other older students in the school. My last reason why is because I hope the teachers will be nice to us. This is how I feel about middle school.
I feel happy about SMS because I’m getting my education and I will still see my friends. Also I’m afraid I would be late for my classes and I might forget my locker number. I might not see my other friends that go to another school, but I’ll will still remember my friends that were at elementary with me.
I am excited in middle school because there will be new teachers, a new school, and new people. Also, it will be fun to do new classes like computer and health. Also, I might meet my friends from Pemberton Elementary School. It is cool when I get up early at 6:00 in the morning. It’s like a trip for me. New schools are the best for me and others. I’m can’t wait for middle school when we all get lockers.
When I visited my schools website I felt scared because I am going to meet new teachers. I won’t know any teachers. I also feel like I am going to have fun with my friends who I already know. Waking up at 6:00 in the morning will be a bummer because that is a little too early for me because I like to stay up late. The good thing about getting up at 6:00 is that when it is time to go home we leave at 3:00 and get home at 3:15. This is before anyone else in my family. In middle school you get to do sports. One thing about 6th grade is that you can’t do band and choir, but in 7th grade you can do both. I am moving on with my life.
I feel nervous about middle school because it will be my first year of middle school. It will be a hard year. It will be tough to remember my locker’s number. I do not know what my teachers will be like. I will have seven classes. Next year may be tough but I will make it through and get good grades. I hope I have a good year in middle school.
I feel middle school will make me have mixed emotions: joyful, happy, and freaked out. It will make me joyful because I will meet new people and see some old friends. It will make me happy to be in a new environment and different activities and classes. It will freak me out on my first day to see so many new faces.
I am scared about middle school because it is so big, and I am afraid that I might get lost or be late for class. I am scared because I might get detention or get yelled at by a teacher. I’m ok with it because my cousins are going to transfer because they live in my neighborhood where I live. I am happy because my uncle sometimes subs in middle schools. I am also scared because I might forget my locker combination or my lunch number. I am scared because I might get a mean teacher. I might get a bad grade or I might get in trouble. I might get caught up in something that I have nothing to do with.
I feel that middle school is going to be fun because I can bring my cell phone. Also I will be scared if I get late, get detention, or get lost. Another reason is why it is fun because of the lockers. We get to choice electives. Also, I get to go to the same classes as my friends. One more reason is that there will be snack machines and soda.
I think middle school will be fun and hard. The fun part that it will be more people, more activities and an whole different school. The hard part is it will be hard to understand all the rules and not get in fights with bullies. It will also be hard to find your own locker and remember the combination of the locker. It will be difficult remembering how to get to classes or what’s the teacher’s name. We will get to have a locker with your own personal space to put your own books in and make your own personal way. You may put pictures and other things that might make you fill better. One thing that will be hard is to stay out of trouble and not hang out with bad people!
I can’t wait to go to middle school because you get out of school at 3:00. In Pemberton, the dismissal time is at 3:30. Also, in middle school you can bring phone, and you have your own lockers. In middle school they have lots of different people and more teachers. Lastly, you have 8 classes and you have health class.
After going to my school’s website I feel more peaceful because of all the new things I know. I think middle school will be more fun and have joyful things to do. I feel middle school will be a lot of fun. I know that I will enjoy myself by leaning a lot of new things.
After going on my school’s website, I feel kind of nervous because I will be in a whole different school. I will meet new teachers and classmates. Since I’m moving to a whole different grade it will get more challenging and challenging.
After going to my new school’s website, I feel a little nervous because I do not know if my new teachers are going to be nice or not. When I go to my new school (starting after summer vacation) I am going to have to ask a lot of questions like:
• How long are classes?
• Do you get breaks during classes?
• How long is lunch?
• Where do you go after school ends for the day?
• How long is school,? and
• Are there any nice teachers?
After going on my middle school’s web site , I feel more excited and ready to take the two electives I have chosen.
I think I will like my middle school because of the website. I saw the pictures and it looked like a fun school. I am also excited to meet my teachers because everyone looked friendly. I also think it would be cool because I would actually have a locker. I hope I do not lose my combination. I am worried I might forget something important. It is a big school and I do not want to get lost. I am excited to go to family consumer science. I think it is going to be a great school and I can not wait to go to Salisbury Middle School.
I think middle school will be a little scary when I first go there. I don’t my way around, but maybe later in the year, I will feel more comfortable with middle school. I don’t know if I will make new friends because I might not know anybody at my new school. I won’t know my new teachers or anybody except for my friends back in 5th grade. Here are a few questions:

~ Will there be racks for your books in your locker ?

I am positive about going to middle school. I feel positive because I know that a lot of my friends will be going to the same school as me. I also know that I am the kind of person who likes to makes new friends. I will love to meet new teachers. I think that going to middle school will be a new start for me. I only have one negative feeling and that is me missing my teachers that I care for the most. I will be so sad to leave them. I am happy that I will be in a harder class again. Also, I won’t like to wake up that early in the morning to go to school, but I still am happy to go.
I feel that when I go to middle school I’ll be nervous because it’ll be a new school and I will miss my old teachers. I will have new teachers. I will miss my friends and I’ll make new ones. The positive thing about going to middle school is learning new things and getting lockers.
I feel that middle school will be great because I will learn new things and make new friends and meet new teachers. I love having fun and meeting new people. I also feel scared of hard challenges and different things that I`m going to face but hey maybe new and hard challenges is going to be fun. I`m not sure but I think this challenge is going to be a blast!
I think middle school will be good and bad. It will be a little bad because what if you forget the way to your classroom and then you are late. I feel good because I am going to gate classes and there I will meet new people and teachers. Many people that I am going to see there are my friends. I have a question; are we allowed to sit anywhere in the cafeteria? I hope we are. It will be a good year.
I think middle school will be a little bit scary because there might be a lot of bullies and there will be some mean people who just don’t respect you or the way you are. It will be a little exciting too because there will be a lot of new and interesting stuff to learn about and there will be lockers where you can keep your cell phones, iPods and other electric stuff that we’re not allowed to bring in elementary school. I hope I do great in middle school and I also hope some of my old friends can be there with me so I won’t feel lonely. The best part about middle school is that we get out of school half an hour or was it an hour early? I do have one question about middle school, though; do we have recess or some free time? Either ways, it feels GREAT to see another school and make new friends there.
I feel middle school will be great because it will be easy to make friends where I am going, and I already have 3 friends there. I feel that I can have fun with so many friends and get a great education at the same time. That way I will feel better about school and spend time with lots of friends.
Middle school will be exciting and frightening. I say that middle school will be cool because you get to use lockers and not put your books in a desk and it will be really neat. Also you will be able to meet more nice teachers. They will have dances. I don’t know if they will teach you how to do your locks for your lockers. I am frightening about middle school because you have to get up at 6:00. You also have a lot of homework. How do you get in gate? Do they send you a letter? Trying to find friends because you have some friends that are not going to your same school and trying to replace them is going to be hard. You might pick the wrong friends like bad friends. How can you tell that someone is bad or good? Do they send you what classes you will be going to? I hope middle school will be fun.
I think middle school will be very difficult. I think it will be difficult because you only have 4 minutes to collect your stuff and get to your other class. I also think it will be difficult because we will all have to have eight teachers. The good side is the teachers will not all give us homework or we would have to do eight or more sheets of homework. Something else is you will have one whole period for 45 minutes. Also, you will have to remember your locker number or your locker code. The bright side is if you remember to give your teacher and your principal your locker number and your locker code they can help you. If you are on a team, do you have to do gym? Are all classes going to be one period and how many periods can there be? If you get there late do you get school suspension if you get there late because of the bus? When will our classes take place? Can the children walk to school and if not, why?
I think middle school makes me nervous and excited about the first day of middle school. I will do so many different things than in elementary school. Also, I get to do 8 fun different subjects. Also, lunch would be earlier so I don’t spend my whole day being hungry.
I am calm about going to B.M.S. I feel this way because my brothers have went through it so I think I can do it too. They say it’s not too hard so I am calm and relaxed. I will just try my best next year. Also, I will have to find new friends that I don’t know so I’m nervous too.
I hope I find good and friendly friends and teachers. Some people are not so good.

I agree with you. I remember when it was my first time in DI (Destination Imagination) I got scared of the big challenges, but it turned out so easy. In the end I quit because I had nobody who was my friend there and every student was a fourth or third grader. So I really didn’t have any fun, but it was a challenge alright.

I feel the same way. I feel a little nervous too about going to a new school. Everything there is going to be a little confusing, mostly the lockers.
Katelyn, I agree that dances will be fun. Also lockers seem awesome.It will be so cool. By the way you can tell from a bad friend to a good friend by the way they talk to other people. Also the way they talk to you. If you get into a disagreement with them, then if they say sorry, that’s a good friend.
I am sad about going to middle school because I have to wake up at 6:00 a.m. and get ready to go, and I am happy because we leave at 3:00 p.m. to go home.

I agree because I want to get out of school early too, but one thing about middle school is you have to wake up early and leave from where I live at 7:15 a.m. I like that we can bring cell phones, but in the lockers.

I think those are good questions to ask, Connor. If you are scared to ask then you should wait to ask until you feel comfortable. You can figure out if your teacher is nice by observing him or her while they are teaching. Also, another good question is do you get breaks during classes. I think you would not have any breaks during class. I say this because you have 4 minutes to collect your stuff and go to your other classes.

I am nervous about going to middle school, because I am going to gate so I will have to work harder than I did this year. Another reason is because I will not know anyone , excluding two people that I knew this year . I will get new friends, new teachers, a new class, a locker , and a new school.

I am very nervous because I don’t know how hard or easy the work will be. This is because we are starting a new level of work.
Hi everyone! I am very glad that I am going to middle school next year. I’m nervous, but if my big brother can do it I can too. Also, I am glad that i am going to meet new students and teachers.
I am not as nevouse about going to middle school because two of my brothers go to Salsubury Middle school. They say some of the teachers are nice. They also say the food is pretty good. If you do not have famliy in middle school you still should not be nervous because all your friends are from your elementary school will be there with you.

school. And lockers, I might forget the combination! You only have so much time to get the stuff you need. If you get in trouble you can get lunch room detention or just regular detention and you have to stay after school! But it can’t be all bad.
I will miss my school North Salisbury. I will be proud going to the 6th grade because I worked so hard to pass to get to the 6th grade. And I wouldn’t be nervous because my sister is in the 6th grade herself. I would also miss my friends and teachers.

Jamrkus-Thomas, I agree with you. It might be hard or easy. I feel nervous about going to W.M.S. I know that I can do it if my sisters could do it. It will be kind of hard to get friends. I think we both will get alot of friends!
I will like Middle school because you can sign up for a lot of things. Some people say they have a lot of things to sign up for like drama. They say they have a lot of sports. But if you have to be at school by 6:00 my mom says I might have to get up when she gets up, that’s around 5:45 or 5:30.
